Sometimes I struggle to come up with an idea to make a composition with a PFCC starting image. Other times, I struggle to choose the best image from a variety of composites that I've created. This current week I had six or seven good composites from the same starting to image. Sometimes the imagination flows, and sometimes it doesn’t.
The images above are from the last week in March. The starting image was the ruffled waves in the lower left-hand corner. As you can see I've got two pretty good ideas here. Now it's down to eeny, meeny, miney, moe; which one should I enter?
I ended up entering the ring box that you see on the upper left. The table is a layer of oak brown with a wood patterned brush in black over it. I found the lace for the tablecloth at AdobeStock. Originally, it was black, so I had to invert the image and then add a color adjustment layer to get the ecru color. The ring box was from PixelSquid. I changed the outside velvet from plain black to a dark blue. I then lined the box with pieces of the image of the ocean. This is my hopelessly romantic take on ruffled ocean waves
The wet towel image started with a ceramic tile texture from AdobeStock with a towel rack and white towel from PixelSquid. Again, I used the ocean waves to color the towel, and a special filter to distort it as if it were the towel. I like this image for the interplay of all the shades of blue.
Take care, and stay well.
